2nd Call for Papers: Kaleidoscope academic conference 2015

Vignette_Poster_Kaleidoscope_2015_375667Just over six weeks remain to submit a paper to ITU Kaleidoscope 2015: Trust in the Information Society. The conference will analyze the notion of “trust” in the ICT context, highlighting research aimed at embedding trust into the ICT ecosystem to bring greater certainty, confidence and predictability to our interactions within the Information Society.

Call for Papers is inviting submissions until 6 July 2015.

All papers selected for presentation at the conference will be published in the Kaleidoscope proceedings and IEEE Xplore, with the authors of the three best papers sharing in a prize fund of $10,000. Outstanding papers will be considered for publication in IEEE Communications Magazine, and a selection of updated papers may be published in the International Journal of Technology Marketing; the International Journal of IT Standards & Standardization Research; or the Journal of ICT Standardization.

Kaleidoscope events are peer-reviewed academic conferences that increase dialogue between academics and ICT standardization experts. The aim of the conference is to identify emerging trends in ICT research and their associated implications for international standardization. The 2015 edition of Kaleidoscope will contribute to the celebration of ITU’s 150th anniversary, highlighting academia’s contribution in service of ITU’s mission to “Connect the World”.

Kaleidoscope 2015 will be hosted by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain, 9-11 December 2015. The technical co-sponsors of the conference are the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); IEEE Communications Society; and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of Japan (IEICE).

Partners in the organization of the conference are Waseda University; the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers of Japan (I.I.E.E.J.); the European Academy for Standardization (EURAS); the University of the Basque Country; the Chair of Communication and Distributed Systems at RWTH Aachen University; and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena.
