Press release: ITU Telecom World heads to Budapest, Hungary in 2015
Global networking, knowledge sharing platform for high-level debate to take place 12-15 October 2015
Doha, 8 December 2014 – The debates and conversations which started this year in Doha, Qatar, are set to continue in Europe next year, as ITU announced today that its upcoming ITU Telecom World 2015 event will take place 12-15 October in Budapest, Hungary.
“With its strategic location at the heart of Europe, Budapest provides the ideal vantage point from which to explore not only the latest ICT developments in major European markets but also in other dynamic markets such as those in the CIS or South Eastern Europe,” said ITU Secretary-General Hamadoun I. Touré. “We look forward to building on the key themes and discussions which are unfolding this year in Doha and follow them through at ITU Telecom World 2015.”
Organized by ITU, the UN specialized agency for ICTs, ITU Telecom World 2015 will be hosted by the Government of Hungary and will convene an audience of top-level representatives from public and private sectors from across the world.
