ITU Kaleidoscope 2015 theme announced: Trust in the Information Society
‘Trust in the Information Society’ is the theme of the seventh ITU Kaleidoscope academic conference to be hosted by the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain, 9-11 December 2015. The focus of the conference will be the identification of standardization challenges to be addressed in the development of trustworthy information infrastructures.
Kaleidoscope 2015: Trust in the Information Society will highlight ideas and research aimed at ensuring that the Information Society grows in inclusivity and sustainability thanks to trusted foundations. The 2015 edition of Kaleidoscope will contribute to the celebration of ITU’s 150th anniversary, highlighting academia’s contribution in service of ITU’s mission to ‘Connect the World’.
A Call for Papers is inviting submissions until 6 July 2015. A prize fund totaling $10,000 will be awarded to the authors of the three best papers. Young authors under the age of thirty presenting papers at Kaleidoscope 2015 will receive ‘young author recognition certificates’.
Kaleidoscope events are peer-reviewed academic conferences that increase dialogue between academics and standardization experts active in the ICT field. The conference seeks out original research papers offering bold, innovative approaches to the research and development of standardized ICT platforms for the benefit of all, in particular underserved communities and citizens of developing countries.
